ABOUT

Dustin Ellison

Photographer, Graphic Designer, and Business Owner. Specializing in Travel, Landscape, and Adventure Photography

Back in 2006 I first visited India. I borrowed my girlfriend’s camera (3 megapixel Sony point and shoot) at the time. The images I came back with from that trip sparked my passion in photography.

One year later I decided to pickup and relocate to South India with a brand new camera of my own. The combination of travels and this new found passion of mine kept me going all the through until 2010 when I decided to move back to the west, not the US though, but Mexico instead.

At this point it finally started to become clear that photography was becoming more than just a hobby. I held a few photography exhibitions and got more inspired by being able to share my travels with family, friends, and others through the medium of print.

Shortly after Mexico I became a property photographer due to multiple connections of friends and family members in the real estate and hotel industry. After about 5 years of working as a property photographer, honing my craft, and having a decent amount of success in the industry I decided to return to my original passion as a travel photographer.

To this day this is what truly interests me, being able to travel, capture beautiful moments and share them. So much so that I recently launched and co-founded a business that specializes in this very thing. The business is called India Photo Prints and combines my love for India, travel photography, and sharing it with beautiful prints.

I’m now based in North India in the sacred town of Vrindavan where devotion runs deep within the culture. My love for travel, surfing, hiking, and other outdoor sports also continues to inspire me to travel.

Currently I am helping to serve at an Ashram with some longtime friends here in Vrindavan. Our goal is to become self sustainable with regenerative farming, planting and growing food forests, living harmoniously with our cows, keeping up a daily spiritual practice, and to share this way of life with others who are interested. It’s been an exciting new chapter and I look forward to sharing more of it with you!

That’s a bit of background on how I got started and where my interests are. As far as photography goes, it’s very important for me to deliver fresh and contemporary images to every client I work with.

I love connecting with people and working together with clients to provide quality imagery that they are proud to show off. For me this is one of the reasons I continue to pursue photography. I very much appreciate the process of working personally with my clients to help fulfill and further develop their vision.

With gratitude,
Dustin
